This website is designed to keep the Appalachian State University community informed about the Reaffirmation of Accreditation process for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Appalachian State University was first awarded accreditation by SACSCOC in 1942.

Reaffirmation of Accreditation

Our most recent reaffirmation of accreditation was in December 2024.

The next reaffirmation is scheduled for 2034. A Five-Year Interim Report that includes an Impact Report of the Quality Enhancement Plan is due in 2030.
